Screen recording flattens both halves into one compressed clip and picks up your notifications on the way. Downloading keeps them apart and keeps them sharp.
Each slide comes back as the JPEG TikTok hosts, at the size it was uploaded. A screen recording would hand you a video frame at your phone's resolution instead.
The audio is a separate MP3 button. You can save the sound without the pictures, or the pictures without the sound, rather than being handed them fused together.
Slides are numbered in the order the creator arranged them, so a set stays readable after it lands in your files — which matters most on the text-heavy slideshows where the order is the content.
